IPTV Setup for iOS & Apple TV

This guide covers IPTV installation for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV devices running iOS and tvOS.

Before You Begin

System Requirements

  • iOS: iOS 12.0 or later
  • tvOS: tvOS 12.0 or later
  • Internet: Stable Wi-Fi connection (minimum 10 Mbps)
  • Apple ID: Required for App Store access
Important: Due to Apple’s App Store policies, dedicated IPTV apps may have limited availability. Alternative methods may require additional steps.

Installation Methods

Method 1: App Store Applications

Search App Store

Look for these IPTV-compatible apps:

Download and Install

  1. Tap Get to download the app
  2. Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode
  3. Wait for installation to complete

Launch and Configure

Open the installed app and follow the setup process

Install GSE Smart IPTV from the App Store

Add Playlist

  1. Open GSE Smart IPTV
  2. Tap the + button to add a new playlist
  3. Select M3U URL or Xtream Codes

Configure Settings

For M3U URL:
  • Name: Choose a playlist name
  • URL: Enter your M3U playlist URL
  • EPG URL: (Optional) Enter EPG URL
For Xtream Codes:
  • Name: Choose a display name
  • Server: Your IPTV server URL
  • Username: Your IPTV username
  • Password: Your IPTV password

Save and Load

  1. Tap Save to add the playlist
  2. Wait for channels to load
  3. Start watching your content

Install VLC

Download VLC for Mobile from the App Store

Add Network Stream

  1. Open VLC
  2. Tap Network tab
  3. Tap + to add a new stream

Enter M3U URL

  1. Enter your M3U playlist URL
  2. Tap Save
  3. Tap the saved stream to start playing

M3U Playlist Configuration

Example M3U URL format:
http://your-provider.com/get.php?username=your_user&password=your_pass&type=m3u_plus
In GSE Smart IPTV:
  1. Select “M3U URL” when adding playlist
  2. Enter the complete URL
  3. Optionally add EPG URL for program guide
  4. Save and let the app load channels

Xtream Codes Configuration

Required Information:
  • Server URL: http://your-provider.com:port
  • Username: Your account username
  • Password: Your account password
In GSE Smart IPTV:
  1. Select “Xtream Codes” when adding playlist
  2. Enter server URL (without username/password in URL)
  3. Enter username and password separately
  4. Save configuration

Troubleshooting

Solutions:
  • Try alternative apps like VLC or Infuse 7
  • Use web browser method on iPad
  • Consider AirPlay from another device
  • Check if your region restricts certain apps
